THE REPUTATION PIT CREW
One Shop. One Market.
And it is closing. Twelve to eighteen months from now, the shops that moved first will own their towns, and everyone else will be fighting their way in against harder rules and a bigger bill. This is the whole argument for why, and exactly what to do about it.
A year ago almost nobody asked a machine which shop to trust. Now a huge share of drivers do, and that happened in roughly twelve months. Ask yourself where you were during those twelve months.
You were under a car. You were covering for a tech who quit with no notice. You were arguing with a parts supplier and opening on a Saturday because somebody needed his truck for Monday. Nobody handed you a briefing.
So if you have had the nagging feeling lately that the world moved and you did not get the update, that feeling is not paranoia and it is not a personal failing. It is just accurate.
Here is the part that should get your attention: almost nobody has figured this out yet. That means it is early, and you are early. In this stretch of time, moving now is worth more than being good.
It is going to be somebody. Read it, and decide whether it is going to be you.
Why is it free? Because I am only taking five shops, in five different towns, and this is how I find them.
